Kuwaiti newspaper: the ban on Egyptian agricultural crops and their entry to the market will be lifted soon.
The head of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Office in Kuwait, Ahmed Bedewi, revealed the lifting of the regulatory control by Kuwait on Egyptian agricultural crops, and the arrival of large quantities of vegetables and fruits to Kuwaiti markets soon. The Kuwaiti newspaper “Al-Anbaa” quoted “Bedoui” as saying that this decision will “accelerate the customs release on Egypt’s exports of fresh vegetables and fruits,” and thus contribute to increasing Egypt’s exports of these products to the Kuwaiti market. The Kuwaiti authorities imposed a ban on Egyptian crops since November 2017, before it was lifted days ago. Regarding the way of transporting vegetables and fruits, Bedoui said that these goods are transported by road freight from the Egyptian ports to Shuwaikh Port, as well as transport – through aviation designated for air transport, such as Egypt Air planes, and Kuwait Airways flights.
