Incheon International Airport
One of the largest and busiest airports in the world. Since 2005 it has been ranked as the best airport in the world by the International Airports Council. The airport opened in early 2001, replacing the old airport, Gimpo Airport, which now operates domestic destinations only as well as shuttles to Tokyo Haneda International Airport and Shanghai International Airport.
Incheon International Airport is also ranked eighth in Asia as the busiest airport in terms of number of passengers, and the fifth globally in terms of cargo and freight traffic, and in 2006 it was ranked eleventh globally in terms of international travelers.
