The report of the Central Administration of Plant Quarantine at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation stated that pomegranate exports have witnessed a remarkable flow to foreign markets, as exports since the start of the export season have reached a total of 75 thousand and 565 tons, and pomegranate ranks fifth in exports, until the 28th of last month, adding that exports In accordance with all quarantine and international requirements, shipping and exportation are underway. Dr. Ahmed Al-Attar, head of the Central Department of Plant Quarantine, said in statements to Al-Youm Al-Sabea that there is an influx of agricultural exports due to the expansion of opening new global markets, the application of the new system, and the improvement of product quality, pointing out that shipping and exportation are carried out according to the quarantine requirements. Stressing that there are strict procedures on all exports of vegetables and fruits, to ensure an increase in exports of agricultural products to all global markets, in accordance with international standards of export quality.
